New York City Firefighters form Human Chain to Pack Truck with our 2007 Christmas Boxes for Our Troops and then give us a motorcycle excort to Post office for mailing. On Wednesday November 28th a very memorable event happened for Jacob's Light Foundation which was formed by gold Star mother Dorine Kenney in memory of her son Jacob Samuel Fletcher who was killed at the age of 28 while serving in the Army on November 25th 2003. A group of New York City Firefighters in memory of of their brothers and sisters lost on 911, came on Motorcycles to the American Legion Post 1006 in Brentwood New York to volunteer for the Jacob's Light Foundation, Inc. a Not for Profit charitable organization whose mission is to send care packages to active American military overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. Also present were Jacob's Light volunteers Rosemary Cain and Nancy Nee who lost Firefighter George C. Cain September 11, 2001. The Firefighters formed a human chain and man to man passed 247 boxes through the American Legion Hall and into a truck waiting outside. Many of these same firefighters, drove their motorcyles and excorted the truck filled with Christmas care packages to the Babylon Post office where they unloaded the boxes for mailing overseas.
